This year, the Bourbon Classic team has crafted a duo that’s both elegant and comforting: a Rosemary Bourbon Twist paired with Rosemary Citrus Shortbread Cookies. These flavors blend warmth and brightness, making them the ideal companions for your festive table.
Here’s how you can bring this pairing to life:

Cocktail Ingredients:
- 2 oz of Bourbon
- 1 oz of Orange Juice
- ½ oz of Rosemary Simple Syrup
- Sparkling Water
- Orange Peel and Rosemary Sprig to garnish
Rosemary Simple Syrup Ingredients:
- ½ cup of Water
- ½ cup of Sugar
- 2 Rosemary Sprigs
Rosemary Simple Syrup Recipe:
- Combine rosemary, sugar and water in a saucepan.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and allow the rosemary to steep for 10 minutes as it cools.
- Remove rosemary sprigs and allow to cool before using.
Rosemary Bourbon Twist Recipe:
- In a shaker add bourbon, orange juice, and rosemary simple syrup
- Shake well for 15-20 seconds
- Strain into a glass
- Top with Sparkling water
- Garnish with an orange peel and rosemary sprig
Cookie Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Butter, Softened
- ½ Cup Confectioners’ Sugar
- 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Fresh Rosemary
- 1 Tablespoon Orange Zest
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
Cookie Recipe:
- In a large bowl, cream butter, orange zest, rosemary and confectioners’ sugar until light and fluffy
- Gradually add the flour into the creamed mixture, 1/2 a cup at a time
- Shape into a log and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight.
- Cut into 1/4-inch slices. Place 2 inches apart on parchment lined baking sheets
- Bake at 350° for 11-13 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
- Cool for 15 minutes.
- Store in an airtight container.
